Shakib-Tamim will play in World XI

World XI will play a charity match on May 31 against the West Indies. Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan were invited to play in the tournament. Earlier, Tamim had gone to Pakistan for World XI and played T20 series against them. But this time Shakib’s name is being added to him.

England captain Eoin Morgan will captain the World XI In addition, Pakistan’s Shoaib Afridi and Shoaib Malik have already confirmed that they will take part in it. Sri Lanka’s Thesira Perera and Afghan spinner Rashid Khan will also play in this match.

Hurricane storm Harvey, Irma and Maria hit the Caribbean region in September last year. It damaged many stadiums in the region. The match is being organized to provide support to five stadium reforms. But the names of the rest of the World XI are not correct yet.

Shakib Al Hasan is currently in India to play the IPL. Tamim Iqbal is out of the match due to injury. He is unable to play due to injury injuries in Bangladesh’s domestic league BCL match. Tamim hoped that he would recover before the series against Afghanistan in June. So he is yet to confirm whether he can play on May 31. However, Tamim expressed his desire to call for World XI.

The West Indies match will be held in England against World XI. Chris Broad will lead the West Indies team. West Indies’ explosive batsmen Chris Gayle, Andy Russell, Marlon Samuels will play in this match.
