Saudi women can now join the army

The country’s General Security Department has announced that women can join Saudi Arabia from now on. But initially, with the country’s capital Riyadh, women from Mecca, Al-Qasim, and al-Madina will get the chance.

The Saudi Arabian English daily Al Arabiya reported this in a report. It says that women who apply for military service in the army must be of Saudi origin and grow in Saudi. However, children of foreign workers working in government jobs who live with their parents abroad can also apply.

The maximum age of service is tied between 25 to 35 years. Educational qualification should be at least high-secondary pass.

Before applying for employment, applicants will have to go for primary examinations, interviews, and medical check-ups. Applicants should also have good conduct certificates for applicants. Besides, the candidates working in the government sector and the army can not apply.

The Saudi gadget says that women who have married foreigners will also be considered ineligible.

In order to take Saudi women forward in the era, the country’s Prince of Persia, Muhammad bin Salman, took Vision 2030 for a comprehensive social and economic reform. Yuvraj planned this reform aimed to get out of an oil-based economy.
