Pakistan Army Chief General Kamar Javed Bajwa and Iran’s Armed Forces Chief Mohammad Hossain Bakari have urged the Muslim world to take action to end the plight of minority Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. They called on Sunday in connection with the Rohingya persecution.

At the same time, the two army chiefs expressed deep concern over the Rohingya persecution. They urged the Muslim world to take action against minority Muslims to end the ongoing persecution of the Myanmar army.

On the telephone, the two Army Chief discussed with the help of Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar to increase the cooperation between the Armed Forces of the two countries. They urged the Muslim world to have more effective measures and rights to stop the ‘inhuman’ and ‘unpleasant’ situation against the Rohingya community in Myanmar in southeastern Asia.

According to a report by Iranian news agency Tasnim News Agency, Bajwa and Baker said in the telephone talk that military and civilian agencies of Muslim countries could use their troops and equipment to expedite relief distribution among Myanmar’s oppressed people.

Rohingyas of Myanmar have long been victims of widespread discrimination in the country. They are targeted at religious violence in 2012. More than 100 Rohingya Muslims were killed; About 40,000 Rohingyas are displaced.

UNHCR, UN refugee agency on Saturday, said about 410,000 Rohingyas entered the country in recent Rakhine violence. Most of them are women and children.
