The personal information of hundreds of politicians and important people of the country, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, has been leaked online. This incident is said to be one of Germany’s far-reaching information leaks. The information was reported in the news agency Reuters reports.
On Friday, the country’s Interior Minister Hurst Sieffar said the incident was reported due to incorrect use of cloud services, e-mail accounts and logistical information on social networking networks in early analysis. There is no evidence that Germany’s lower house computer system was hacked. Of course, it was not clear whether this was a hacking or not. The country’s national cyber defense agency urges emergency meetings.
Reuters reports that the German authorities will investigate all possible threats including detectives. Government sources say that the spread of such huge information online can not be the work of any individual.
Earlier on the Twitter account an issue of leakage came first. There are several copies of addresses, private letters, ID cards displayed. On Friday, all the personal information of the accounts was leaked online, the miscreants said the country’s authorities. Leaked information includes personalized conversations, contact numbers and financial transactions. But no one is yet to know who is involved in publishing these information online. The Twitter account that was leaked to this account has been deleted.
In German media, it is said that a fax number and two e-mail addresses were published by Merkel. The German authorities say there is no sensitive information. The German Information Security Office said that no information was found in their organization and they were very alert.
Earlier, security officials blamed Russia’s hacking group for such hacking. But such allegations were denied on behalf of the Kremlin.
