Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif is using foreign power to protect himself, accusing Imran Khan of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, Pakistan’s political party. He complained at a rally in Lahore on Thursday.
Imran Khan said, “Nawaz Sharif has met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to protect himself from the army.”
Imran Khan complained to the court on Thursday after a day after the Pakistan court ordered that Nawaz Sharif, who is deposed in the Panama Paper scandal and could not be nominated as the Prime Minister. Earlier, opposition parties appealed to the Supreme Court to remove Nawaz Sharif from the post of party chief.
The bench of three Supreme Court judges on Wednesday disqualified Nawaz as the party’s chief. In 2015, the issue of corruption in Nawaz Sharif came in the Panama Paper scandal. After this, investigations started against Nawaz and his family members. But Nawaz Sharif has always denied any kind of corruption.
Later, on 28 July last year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stepped down from the post of Prime Minister after the country’s Supreme Court was disqualified.
