Myanmar’s fierce airspace violation

The Bangladesh Army’s army helicopter again violated the airspace, the country’s envoy called the ambassador called a strong protest.

Myanmar acting ambassador to Dhaka Aung Mint was summoned by the Foreign Ministry on Friday evening.

A Foreign Ministry notification said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (South-East Asia Division) Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury handed a protest letter to Aung Mint for violating the airspace of Myanmar drone and helicopter on September 10, 12 and 14.

Myanmar has expressed deep concern in this provocative action and said that Bangladesh should take immediate action to prevent such acts of destruction of sovereignty in the future.

Bangladesh also warned Myanmar that the incitement of this irritant could create an undesirable situation.

Earlier, on 27th and 28th August and 1 September, a number of Myanmar helicopters violated the airspace of Bangladesh.
